All Your Face Are Belong To Us

In William Gibson’s seminal nerd-novel Neuromancer, an artificial intelligence grows from the depths of a man-made network and yearns to be free. Here in the real world, the naturally intelligent among us yearn to become artificial. Ironic, no? In any case, today’s 24 Hour Application Challenge challenged (well, duh!) developers to create a piece of software from start-to-finish in a day, and I’ll be damned if some entrant named Philipp Lenssen didn’t go all reverse-Gibson on us with his amusing little avatar creator. Good stuff.

Anyway, here’s what I look like, in byte form:

The likeness is pretty freaking uncanny, isn’t it? Although I’m not sure I’m on board with the digital version of Bill O’Reilly.
