Silent But Deadly

Each year during the Yuletide, saccharine and WASPy families everywhere (I’m told) gather together around the hearth and read Twas The Night Before Christmas or perhaps a couple of selected, hot-shit Bible passages. However, I’ve decided that from here on out, this touching story of a man and his blimp will be the fable I read to my kids each year during the holidays. I mean, really, it’s got everything: comedy, airships, violence and even marital strife, all wrapped up with a hilarious little bow of a cautionary tale. Pure genius, and needless to say, I desperately want one.
Incidentally, I came across this story after first checking out the same author’s recent description of self-waterboarding, which itself is quite a read, although considerably darker, and utterly lacking in zeppelins.
